My father, Robert Eberle, was one of the Founding Fathers of Queen Creek back in 1989 . My family grew up in Queen Creek and watched firsthand, as it grew from a single vision in the minds of those who would work tirelessly to carry that “deep rooted history and strong sense of community pride ” into its amazing future of today. That pride still exists as the town continues to lead the way in East Valley growth and opportunity for the families and businesses who call Queen Creek home.

Michael Romero is a proud member of this community. Having served as an educator and current businessman, he certainly understands how creating a climate of strong leadership, a culture of mutual respect, a commitment to high-quality education and fiscal responsibility in our schools’ filters from the top through community, teachers, parents and students.

Michael consistently demonstrates the personal qualities of supportive and respectful leadership and a strong work ethic that we value in our leaders and want to demonstrate for our children.

I had the pleasure of working with Michael for many years while we were both teaching at a local high school. His personal understanding and experience with diverse school and business issues, commitment to continued and future success, professional support and strong leadership skills were exemplified in his teaching and coaching and have continued throughout his business career.

Michael possesses the experience and expertise to truly understand the demands and challenges facing today’s public education.

I am a former student of Mr. Romero. When he was my teacher, he encouraged me to ask for help and never be afraid to speak up for myself. To this day, I know he is there to help. A couple of years ago, I mentioned to him that I wanted to buy a house eventually, but didn’t know where to start, and asked him for some advice. He took the time to give me some advice and even offered to help me more once I was ready. He is a wonderful leader, one whom you can trust to have the best interests of those around him in mind. He is a very committed person not only to his career but also to the success and well-being of others. Mr. Romero is truly one of the best people I have ever met.

Coach Romero is one of the hardest-working and most positive people I’ve had the opportunity to learn from. He leads with integrity, compassion, and always does things the right way. As my high school basketball coach, he constantly supported and encouraged those around him, both on and off the court. Queen Creek community would be lucky to have someone like him serving and leading.

I have known Mike Romero since 2018. We started as co-workers, and he eventually became my manager. Over all the years I’ve known and worked with Mike, one thing has always stood out most, his character.
Mike is one of the most genuine, caring, and stand-up people I know. He doesn’t judge people by their race, religion, or background. He cares about who they are as individuals and treats everyone with the same respect and fairness.
Mike is honest, compassionate, and leads with integrity. He sees the best in people and consistently encourages those around him to reach their full potential. I consider Mike a great friend, and knowing him has truly made me a better person.

I worked with Michael Romero for several years when we were both at the same high school. I was the Campus Technology Director while Mr. Romero was a business teacher. The fact that Mr. Romero had a computer lab as his classroom meant that I was there often while he taught. I very honestly have rarely seen such a dedicated and effective professional in Mr. Romero. I do not say this lightly; I have seen dozens upon dozens of teachers work. And, while Mr. Romero is not unique in his caring and effectiveness among teachers, he certainly stands out in my memory as among the best of the best. I heartily endorse Mr. Romero as a very caring, concerned, organized, and uniquely qualified individual who listens to parents, students, and school staff members to implement what is the very best in education.
Mr. Romero isn’t a bad basketball coach either, incidentally.
