Donations for the event are never mandatory but always appreciated! It’s how we are going to get my name out there in the community. Looking forward to another great turnout. On the Mic with Mike ………👇🏽Critical Race Theory, doesn’t have to be divisive or scary. It’s not in our K-12 standards. Our focus in Queen Creek needs to be on academic excellence, safe classrooms, and keeping divisive politics out of our schools. Full transparency to our parents and supporting our teachers are also key components in achieving success. #qcusd #schoolboard #candidate #vote #nodivisivepolitics ... See MoreSee Less

Observations from my canvassing experience. 👇🏽I don’t get the opportunity to talk a lot to 20-30 year olds or Hispanic members of our community. I’m not sure if it’s a characteristic trait to not answer their door or if they are apprehensive. Would love to talk to more people here in Queen Creek in those demographics. #qcusd #schoolboard #candidate #vote #queencreek ... See MoreSee Less

Wednesday Why ……….. 👇🏽I want to run for school board because public education is vital to a community. We have school choice in Arizona and I want our district to have the schools parents choose. Providing great programs that prepare students for success, safe classrooms, and supporting our teachers are at the center of that. I believe that if I’m elected, I can help our district accomplish that. #qcusd #schoolboard #candidate #vote #WednesdayWhy ... See MoreSee Less

Michael Romero - QCUSD School Board 2026
Wednesday Why ……….👇🏽For those that don’t know me, My name is Michael Romero and I am running for Queen Creek School Board. I'm a former high school teacher, a proud father of two, and a successful business professional. I believe in the power of education to change people’s lives. As a former teacher my experience in the classroom gave me firsthand insight into the challenges students and teachers face every day. It has also shown me the importance of strong leadership, accountability, and support at the school board level. As a parent, I understand what families want most: safe schools, high academic standards, and opportunities that prepare our children for success. As a professional, I bring a strong work ethic, practical problem-solving skills, and acommitment to thoughtful decision-making.I believe gratitude and kindness matter, especially in leadership. Our schools shouldbe places where students feel supported, educators feel respected, and parents feelheard. I'm running for school board to serve our community and public schools withintegrity, collaboration, and a focus on what truly matters: doing what's best for our kids. #schoolboard #qcusd #candidate #publiceducation #leadership ... Wednesday Why ………👇🏽Today my Wednesday Why is bullying and harassment. It’s super important to keep bullying and harassment out of our classrooms and our students feeling safe. I dealt with bullying growing up and even got in a few fights sticking up for myself. It’s not a good feeling having to go to school knowing you are going to get bullied or harassed. It makes it hard to focus on learning. Making sure we have policies that hold students and their parents accountable for their behavior is a priority of mine. Teachers should be able to focus on teaching in the classroom and not having their time taken up constantly trying to manage negative behavior. #antibullying #qcusd #schoolboard #candidate #wednesdaywhy ... Endorsement ……..👇🏽I’m proud to endorse Michael Romero for School Governing Board. As a current businessman and former teacher, Michael has a background that makes him perfectly suited to be a school board member. He cares deeply about community and education and understands firsthand the demands and challenges facing public education today. I had the privilege of being an administrator at the school where Michael taught and coached for many years and during that time I saw firsthand how skilled and genuine he is both professionally and personally. He earned the respect of the school community for his strong work ethic, thoughtful leadership, and commitment to high-quality teaching and learning. Michael is also a genuinely kind and supportive colleague who brought positivity and a strong sense of community to our campus. He is a smart, practical thinker who values fiscal responsibility and believes in listening to parents, educators, and community members to make informed decisions. Michael has remained committed to supporting public education, and I am confident he will be an effective, principled voice on the board.Dr. Stacia Wilson Former Principal Tempe High SchoolPublic Education Leader#qcusd #schoolboard #candidate #publicschools ... Wednesday Why ………. 👇🏽 On Wednesday’s I am going to post reasons why I am running for Queen Creek School Board.Today I had to come to Tucson for work and Tucson is where I was born. Growing up we were very poor and I grew up in a trailer park right next door to Sunnyside High School. Of course, as a kid you don’t really realize how important education is and how it can impact your life.I have so much gratitude for being able to get an education and for the teachers and staff that helped me along the way. Without the education I received from public schools I would not be where I am today. I would not have experienced the success I have today. Running for school board will allow me to be a part of that process that can impact so many students’ lives. It is important to make sure we are doing right thing for our students and parents that will allow them the same opportunity to be successful.#wednesdaywhy #queencreekschoolboard #qcusd #candidate #publiceducation ... It is so important to support the Fine Arts in schools! Schools that strongly support fine arts education generally perform better, with students showing higher academic achievement, better attendance, and increased college enrollment. Arts education correlates with better grades, improved SAT scores, reduced disciplinary issues, and higher graduation rates, especially for low-income students.Fine arts programs at Mountain Trail Academy give students more ways to learn and express themselves. Very grateful to QCST Indivisible for hosting a candidate forum this past weekend.
